ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP® is seeking a Proposal Development Specialist to join our Marketing team. This position is preferred to be in the Twin Cities, Minnesota area and is hybrid.
The Proposal Development Specialist facilitates and monitors assigned written deliverables that focus on helping the federal government use and pay less for energy to ensure exceptional quality and timely delivery.
The essential functions of the position include:
Develop and align proposal development schedules with project team leadership that incorporate sufficient time for review(s) and ensure timely delivery of proposals and other written deliverables
Ensure compliance with technical proposal requirements for the federal government, communicate those requirements to project team members, and assign writing tasks
Lead and track development of proposal sections and hold project team members accountable for assignments
Edit sections for clarity, applicability, grammar, punctuation, consistency, and internal style standards
Consistently follow business unit processes for collecting/reviewing proposal components Use the Responsive digital asset management proposal platform for sample text as needed
Contribute ideas to the ESG Proposal team that improve processes and deliverables
Maintain familiarity with federal government contracting mechanisms
Maintain and update in-house and external software proposal databases with project metrics, current “best of” proposal language, points of contact, and other pertinent information
Requirements
Your background includes:
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related field
Two to five years of experience in developing proposals
Proficiency in MS 365, including Word, Excel, and Adobe
A bonus to have:
Knowledge of federal government energy savings contracts
APMP certification
Experience with MS PowerPoint, Responsive, MS Publisher, and SharePoint

Pay range: $65,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience
